This is a 10 year old Laphroaig from Islay, bottled at 48% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It has been finished in sherry oak, which adds to the distillery's robust style.
The medicinal peat smoke stays in front, with dark fruit, sweetness and spicy oak alongside it.
On the nose there is strong smoke, maritime notes and iodine with raisins, toffee and spicy oak. The palate brings peat smoke, dark chocolate, caramel and spices, and the finish is long, smoky and spicy with sweetness, salt and medicinal hints.
