An 11 year old Islay single malt from Laphroaig, matured in refill bourbon barrels and bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The refill casks keep the wood influence restrained, so the distillery's own character stays to the fore.
Medicinal peat, coastal salinity, iodine and wood smoke form the backbone. The casks add subtle vanilla, citrus and oak, giving a direct style that balances earthy smoke with maritime freshness.
