Laphroaig 15 Year Old is an Islay single malt that has returned to the distillery's core range. It is matured in American Bourbon casks and bottled at 46% ABV, up from the 43% of earlier versions.
The nose opens with citrus, followed by orange peel, vanilla, spices and peat. On the palate smoke and sea salt come through more strongly, with black pepper, spices and sweetness emerging gradually behind them. The finish is led by peat and sweetness.
