Laphroaig 25 Years Old is an independent bottling from Signatory Vintage, released in its Cask Strength Collection, Symington's Choice. It is an Islay single malt bottled at 52.2% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was distilled on 28 April 1997, matured in a bourbon hogshead and bottled on 10 February 2023. The outturn was 196 bottles.
The nose brings peat smoke, sea air and medicinal notes with vanilla, ripe fruit and soft wood. The palate is full, with smoke, earthy peat, salty touches, vanilla and malt. The finish is long and warming, with lasting peat smoke and maritime character.
