A 27 year old single malt from Laphroaig, bottled as a Director's Special in a 70cl bottle. It comes from a single first-fill ex-bourbon cask in which the whisky matured for 27 years.
The nose is charred mango skins and toasted banana with dusty coal smoke. On the palate a tropical sweetness of passion fruit and baked mango sits alongside dark, dusty smoke, cola and ginger, and the peat develops into rich tobacco and cherry jam.
