Laphroaig – Brodir (70cl)

Laphroaig Brodir is an Islay single malt finished in casks that previously held port. This bottle is the 2018 release, made for duty free shops, in a 70cl bottle. The whisky first matured in former bourbon casks, then moved to European casks that held ruby port, a young, fruity style of port. The nose shows plum, followed by Laphroaig's medicinal peat. On the palate cherry leads the fruit, with marine and lemony notes from the peat. The finish carries spice, ginger and cloves.
