Laphroaig – Quarter Cask

Laphroaig Quarter Cask is an Islay single malt matured first in ex-bourbon casks and then in small quarter casks. The smaller casks bring the whisky into closer contact with the wood, a method that dates from the days when whisky travelled by packhorse and smaller casks were more practical. It is described as full-bodied, soft and velvety, with strong peat smoke alongside a surprising sweetness. Coconut, banana and vanilla appear, followed by a long, sweet and smoky finish.
