Ledaig 10 Year Old is a peated single malt made at the Tobermory Distillery on the Isle of Mull. Ledaig was once one of the distillery's earlier names, and it now marks the smoky side of production, made on the same pot stills as the unpeated Tobermory but with peated barley. It is bottled at 46.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is light and balanced, with soft peat, gentle smoke, barley, malt extract, walnut, pine oil and a hint of iodine. The palate is medium-bodied and rich, with spice and smoke above charred oak, and a quiet, dry peat with black pepper and earth. The finish is medium in length, slightly smoky and spicy.
