This is an 18 year old peated single malt from Ledaig, made at Tobermory Distillery on the Isle of Mull. It is bottled at 46.3% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
It was matured in ex-bourbon casks and then finished in Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose is earthy and maritime, with smouldering driftwood, iodine, dried fruit, leather and cracked black pepper. The palate is full-bodied and richly peated, with campfire smoke, sea salt, dark treacle, spiced oak and burnt orange. The finish is long, with peat smoke, sherried warmth and a touch of sea-salted dark chocolate.
