Ledaig 2005 Hermitage Cask, Gordon & MacPhail Private Collection

This Ledaig was distilled in 2005 at Tobermory and bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Private Collection. It is a smoky malt given an additional maturation in a French Hermitage cask, which adds a fruity-sweet note. It is described as a typical Ledaig, smoky and bacon-like, with a pleasant berry note and light maritime hints. The finish is long and warming, fruity and smoky.
