Ledaig – 2009 15 Year Old Cask Strength (Gordon & MacPhail Connoisseurs Choice) (70cl, 56.8%)

This is a 15 year old Ledaig single malt Scotch whisky, distilled in 2009 and bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Connoisseurs Choice range. It comes at a cask strength of 56.8% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky matured for 15 years in a refill sherry hogshead and was bottled in 2024. The nose combines cured meat, morello cherry and peanut brittle. On the palate come stewed berries and raisin, followed by aniseed and smoke. The finish is full and long, with oak and bonfire embers.
