This is a 3 year old Ledaig, distilled on 16 June 2022 and bottled on 20 January 2026. It is Exploration Series No. 12 from Claxton's, matured in a PX sherry barrel.
The nose brings smoked cheese, leather, cigar smoke and smoked fish. On the palate there is sweet smoke, like mesquite smoking chips, and the whisky is rich and full-bodied. The finish is equally rich, with hints of sherry and oak smoke.
