Leiper's Fork Tennessee Whiskey Bottled in Bond

Leiper's Fork Tennessee Whiskey Bottled in Bond is a five-year-old whiskey made from a mash bill of 70% corn, 15% rye and 15% malted barley, with toasted barley malt added for depth. It was mashed, fermented, distilled, aged and bottled at Leiper's Fork Distillery, using local non-GMO grains, including corn grown on the chief distiller's farm. It is pot distilled at a low distillation proof of 137 and enters the barrel at 110 proof. The spirit is filtered through sugar maple charcoal and is non-chill filtered. The nose brings milk chocolate, roasted coffee, ripe plum, dark cherry and honey. The palate shows caramel, red berries and baking spices, and the whiskey is said to gain complexity as it rests in the glass.
