Friar John Cor Congregation Chapter 3 is a limited Lowland single malt from Lindores Abbey and the third bottling in the series. It is named after the monk John Cor, who appears in the earliest known written record of Scotch whisky, dated 1494. It comes in a 70cl bottle. The whisky matured in a combination of Amontillado sherry, Pedro Ximénez sherry and bourbon casks. The portions were then married and given further maturation in refill sherry casks. It is bottled at cask strength, 60.2% ABV, with no added colour and no chill filtering.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
