Lindores Exclusive Sherry Cask Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 52.6%)

This is a single cask Lowland single malt from Lindores Abbey Distillery, matured in ex-sherry casks only. Lindores single malt is usually a blend of malt from bourbon, sherry and wine casks, but each cask type is also bottled on its own each year in small numbers. This one is a special edition for the Danish market, bottled at 52.6% in a 70cl bottle. Fermentation ran for an unusually long 117 hours. The spirit was distilled first in a wash still and then in a sister still with two smaller pots, which gives it extra contact with copper, and it then spent more than three years in the sherry casks.
