Lindores Thiron 2024 is a Lowland single malt Scotch whisky bottled at 49.4% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It looks back to 1191, when monks from Thiron-Gardais in France founded Lindores Abbey, and the distillery now sources oak for its casks from that same French area.
The whisky was matured in virgin oak from Thiron-Gardais, combined with whisky aged in bourbon and STR red wine barriques. The distillery uses a 117-hour fermentation and a pair of stills working as one. It is non-chill filtered and has no added colour.
Vanilla, toasted banana, cinnamon, baking spices, caramel and roasted chestnuts are found on both nose and palate.
