This is a 17-year-old Linkwood, distilled in 2006 and bottled by North Star Spirits as part of its Series 23. It is a Speyside single malt at 59.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It was matured in a single Oloroso sherry butt, which gave 575 bottles. Linkwood is a light Speyside style that keeps its freshness with age, while the palate has a thick texture.
The nose is apples in cider sauce with citrus notes. The palate is sweet and oaky with a honey lozenge note, and the finish is long and sweet with a malty aftertaste.
