Wee Mongrel Batch 4 is a blended Scotch from Little Brown Dog, made from whiskies of at least 22 years old and released in 2025 at a cask strength of 56.2%. The blend was matured fully in sherry, in refill oloroso butts and first fill PX hogsheads, using ex Edrington stock. It is natural colour and non-chill-filtered, and 497 bottles were produced.
The nose has Soreen malt loaf, bramble jam and old leather. The palate brings dark chocolate-dipped black cherries with toasted hazelnuts, and the finish is very long, with gentle spice and waves of sherry.
