Loch Lomond – 12 Years

This is a 12 year old single malt from Loch Lomond, the distillery in Alexandria. It was matured in bourbon, refill and re-charred casks, and Master Distiller Michael Henry selects and blends the whiskies for it. The character is fruity, with peach, pear and sweet vanilla alongside some peat and smoke. The nose brings green apple, pear, lemon and ripe grain. On the palate there is orchard fruit, lemon, vanilla meringue and crisp, crumbly biscuits. The finish is medium in length, with wood smoke and peat.
