Loch Lomond 12 Years is a fruity Highland single malt bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is matured in three types of cask: new bourbon, refill and recharged. The Master Distiller, Michael Henry, brings the components together at the end of maturation.
The nose is crisp green apple, ripe pear and fresh citrus, with ripe grain. Orchard fruit and lemon meringue lead on the palate, the pear giving way to citrus, vanilla meringue and light sponge sweetness. The finish is of medium length, with gentle wood smoke and a pleasant maltiness.
