Loch Lomond 18 Year Old is a Highland single malt, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It matured in three kinds of American oak: first-fill and second-fill bourbon casks, followed by a re-charred cask.
The spirit comes from both straight-neck and swan-neck pot stills, and Master Blender Michael Henry brings the cask selection together. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The nose is green apple and grapefruit, then honeysuckle and aged oak. The palate opens with toasted oak and cigar box before moving to green fruit, apple and gooseberry. The long finish carries dried tea leaves, tobacco leaf, gentle medicinal peat and wood smoke.
