Loch Lomond – 18 Year Old Single Malt (46%)

Loch Lomond 18 Year Old is a Highland single malt matured for 18 years in three types of American oak cask, with no wine or sherry finish. It is bottled at 46% and is non-chill-filtered. The distillery stands in Alexandria, close to the southern end of Loch Lomond, and uses both traditional pot stills and straight-neck pot stills. The nose is ripe, with green apple, grapefruit, honeysuckle and ripe oak. The palate is full and structured, with gooseberry and toasted oak, and a cigar box note. The finish is long, with dried tea leaves, tobacco and ripe oak, ending in light medicinal peat smoke and soft wood smoke.
