Loch Lomond – 18 Years Old Caramelised Apple and Wood Smoke (70cl, 46%)

This is an 18 year old Scotch single malt from Loch Lomond, matured in American oak casks and bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill filtered and carries the label of The Open Official Spirit. The label points to caramelised apple and wood smoke as its character. On the nose it is typically described as green apple and grapefruit with honeysuckle and mature oak. The palate brings toasted oak and cigar box before green fruit, and the long finish has dry tea, tobacco leaf and a soft medicinal peat and wood smoke.
