Loch Lomond – 2000 22 Year Old Open Course Collection 2023 (70cl, 48.2%)

A 22 year old Highland single malt from Loch Lomond, distilled in 2000 and released in 2023 as part of the distillery's Open Course Collection. The series marks Loch Lomond's sponsorship of The Open, and this edition was made for the 151st Open Championship at Royal Liverpool. The whisky was distilled from organic barley and matured in organic American oak. It is a limited edition of 4500 bottles at 48.2% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. The nose offers honey, peach, melon, lemon and stem ginger. On the palate come grapefruit, vanilla, caramel, pineapple and mango, and the long, spicy finish carries ginger, cinnamon and toasted oak.
