Loch Lomond – 2016 9 Year Old Dràm Mòr

This is a 9 year old Loch Lomond single malt from 2016, bottled by Dràm Mòr for its Autumn Release 2025. Only 215 bottles were filled. It matured in a single bourbon cask and was then finished in a first fill Maker's Mark cask. The nose begins with restrained fruit, then turns unexpectedly floral, almost violets, with light charred oak. On the palate the floral notes ease, leaving a fragrant, warming and full-bodied dram. A very dry bourbon character comes through, alongside soft fruit, roasted nuts, a hint of cinnamon and grilled banana. The finish seems medium at first, then revives.
