Loch Lomond – 21 Year Old Bottled 2023 (70cl, 46%)

This is the 2023 bottling of Loch Lomond 21 Year Old, a Highland single malt first introduced in 2020. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, without colouring or chill filtration, after ageing in American oak casks. Master Blender Michael Henry brought together whiskies of differing peat levels for it. The distillery describes the result as sweet vanilla fudge and a touch of cinnamon spice, with a wisp of smoke. The nose has toasted oak and coconut with green apple and ginger. On the palate come vanilla fudge, peach and pear, lime juice and cinnamon spice. The finish is long and dry, with a wisp of peat smoke and lingering oak spice.
