This is a 22 year old Highland single malt from Loch Lomond, distilled in 1999 and bottled in 2022. It marks the 150th anniversary of The Open, and Master Blender Michael Henry created it together with Colin Montgomerie. It is bottled at 48.2% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky matured in American oak casks, then was hand-selected for an additional finish in Bordeaux red wine barriques.
It is described as having strawberry, peach and lime citrus, a creamy fudge sweetness and lasting oak spice, with gentle smoke in the finish.
