Loch Lomond – 30 Year Old Bottled 2023 (70cl, 47%)

This is the 2023 edition of Loch Lomond 30 Year Old, a Highland single malt in a 70cl bottle. The expression was introduced in 2020 as part of an overhaul of the distillery's range and is now released as an annual small batch. Master Blender Michael Henry put it together from long-aged casks of unpeated whisky, with around half finished in first fill Oloroso sherry casks. It was bottled at 47% without colouring or chill filtration. The official notes describe honey, peach and melon on the nose. The palate has toffee fudge, green apple, pineapple and gentle ginger and nutmeg. The finish is long, with kiwi, gooseberry and lime.
