Loch Lomond Waypoint 31 Years Old is the oldest peated single malt the distillery has released so far. It is a limited release in a 70cl bottle at 44.1% ABV.
The whisky spent 31 years in three types of ex-bourbon American oak cask, followed by a twelve-month finish in Tawny Port pipes. The finish adds dark fruit, chocolate and wood without overpowering the original spirit and its peat smoke.
It is described as old and complex, with blackberries, raspberries and honey alongside dark chocolate, cedar wood and smoke.
