Loch Lomond – 46 Year Old Remarkable Stills Series Part 2

This is a 46 year old single malt from Loch Lomond, released as Part 2 of the Remarkable Stills Series. It was distilled in the distillery's Straight Neck pot stills of 1965. After decades in American oak, the whisky matured in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, which gave it a depth of dried tropical fruit. It is unpeated and comes in an edition of 200 handcrafted bottles, each in an oak box. The nose offers green fruit, gooseberry and lime. On the palate, toffee sweetness meets warming cinnamon and nutmeg, and the finish is long.
