First-fill Loupiac wine hogshead finish
This is an 8 year old unpeated Highland single malt from Loch Lomond, distilled in 2016 and bottled in 2025 at 57.1% ABV. It is a single cask release of 287 bottles, each 70cl, made for the AIG Women's Open 2025 at Royal Porthcawl. It is the second annual bottling for the event, in partnership with the R&A. The whisky was made in the distillery's Straight Neck stills and matured in ex-bourbon barrels, then finished for 18 months in first-fill Loupiac wine hogsheads from Bordeaux. The nose is floral, with jasmine and blossom. The palate brings ripe peaches, nectarines and pears, and the finish has sweet almond biscuits, zesty lemons and vanilla.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
