Loch Lomond – Inchmoan 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch (46%)

Loch Lomond Inchmoan 12 Year Old is a richly peated Highland single malt, bottled at 46% without chill filtration. It is made at Loch Lomond Distillery using whisky from both swan-neck and straight-neck pot stills. The whisky spent 12 years in American oak casks, including refill and re-charred oak. Smoke sits alongside fruit sweetness and warming spice. The nose is dry peat smoke with vanilla syrup, cracked black pepper and a little wood smoke. On the palate, sweet medicinal peat and smoked bacon give way to roasted coffee beans, cloves and star anise, with green apple and ripe pear. The finish is long and smoky, with waxy peat, gooseberry and gentle spice.
