A 2015 bottling of Loch Lomond Original, a subtly peated Highland single malt aged in American bourbon casks, at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose has caramel, oily walnut and a touch of dusty oak smokiness. On the palate come digestive biscuits and ginger snaps, with subtle vegetal notes developing later. The finish brings diced almond, coffee bean and toasted malt.
