This is a Highland single malt from Loch Lomond, bottled in the 1990s at 40% ABV and sold in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled at some point in the 1980s and labelled Pure Malt, a term used to set it apart from the blended whiskies that dominated at the time. The nose opens with warm leather and Highland heather, followed by gentle malt and woody notes. On the palate it is creamy and malty, with hazelnut, Brazil nut, citrus, ginger, liquorice, honey, green apple and ripe pineapple. The finish is very smooth, with dark molasses and citrus zest.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
