Loch Lomond Signature is a blended Scotch whisky made from malt and grain whiskies from the same distillery. They are married in a solera system of about 600 casks and matured further in Oloroso sherry casks and re-charred American oak casks. Master Blender Michael Henry is responsible for the blend, and his signature is on every bottle. It is bottled at 40% with no added colouring.
The nose has a fortified wine character, with rich sultanas, dark fruit and subtle smoke. The palate starts with strong malt, then ripe pear, cinnamon, ginger and dark sugar. The finish moves from dried fruit to blackcurrant and ends in lemony sharpness.
