Loch Lomond Single Cask 2010/2023 is The Nine #3, a single malt made from unpeated spirit distilled in 2010 on swan-neck pot stills. It matured first in an American oak hogshead, then was finished in a first-fill Oloroso hogshead. In 2023, 274 bottles were filled at 56.8% ABV, without chill-filtering or added colour.
The nose offers honey, raisins and distinct cinnamon. The palate is full-bodied, with Christmas spices and apple, then sweet toffee and walnut, and a fine hint of smoke beside the oak. The finish is long, with spice, oak and lasting fruit, and caramel and dried fruit echoing.
