This is a Highland single malt from Loch Lomond Distillery, bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration. The spirit comes from both straight-neck and traditional swan-neck pot stills.
It is first matured in American oak, then given a 10-month finish in heavily charred casks prepared at the distillery's own cooperage.
The nose is sweet toffee, crisp apples and creamy vanilla fudge, with warming cinnamon and a little toasted oak. On the palate it is rich and silky, with orange marmalade, ripe peaches, roasted coffee and melted brown sugar. The finish is medium to long, with dark chocolate, gentle oak dryness and a touch of soft woodsmoke.
