Loch Lomond – The Nine 2010 1st Fill Bordeaux Red Wine Hogshead Cask 1/6 (55%)

This is a single malt from Loch Lomond, distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2023 at 55% ABV, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. It is Cask 1/6 of The Nine, drawn from a refill American oak hogshead and finished in a first-fill Bordeaux red wine hogshead, with 318 bottles. The whisky shows the Inchfad style, made on the traditional swan neck pot still. The notes describe fresh blackcurrant juice, clove-studded orange and sweet nectarine, followed by maple sugar, toffee apple and red liquorice.
