Loch Lomond The Original is a Highland single malt Scotch from Loch Lomond Distillery, made with the distillery's unpeated spirit. It is matured first in first-fill, refill and re-charred American oak casks, then given a final maturation in Oloroso sherry casks. It is bottled at 40% ABV.
The nose is sweet honey, creamy vanilla and dried raisins, with subtle oak. On the palate, toffee sweetness develops alongside ripe peaches, juicy oranges and brown sugar, with a gentle sherry richness. The finish is medium in length and rounded, with dried fruits, soft oak and delicate warming spice.
