This is a single cask Longrow from Campbeltown, distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2024 after 14 years in a Manzanilla hogshead. It is bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle, and only 96 bottles were filled.
Longrow is the peated malt made at Springbank, begun in 1973 by the company chairman Hedley Wright as an Islay-style whisky produced on the mainland. It has been bottled once a year since 1989.
The malt is dried over Islay peat for two days and distilled twice, which gives the strong, smoky character the name is known for.
