Longrow CV stands for Chairman's Vatting. In 2008 Frank McHardy and the Springbank team combined Longrow whiskies aged from 6 to 14 years, matured in ex-bourbon, ex-rum and ex-sherry casks. It was bottled that year at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is fresh and fruity, with citrus, green apple, a sea breeze and fine peat smoke. The palate is soft and creamy, with vanilla, sweet fruit and spicy smoke. The finish is long, dry and smoky, with a salty note and light fruit sweetness.
