Longrow – Peated 18 Year Old Batch 22/141 (46%)

This is the 2022 edition of Longrow 18 Year Old, a peated Campbeltown single malt matured solely in ex-sherry casks. It is bottled at 46%, with natural colour and without chill-filtration, as a limited edition. The nose opens with fresh apple peel and earthy peat smoke, followed by damp leaves with a hint of truffle, plus wood shavings, oatmeal and soot. The palate is full-bodied and oily, with spice, orange peel, pepper and chilli, alongside smoked fish, smoked meat and sweet honey. The finish is spicy and oily, with clean smoke.
