Lord of the Highlands Teaninich (55.9%)

This is a Highland single malt from Teaninich distillery, bottled from a single cask at cask strength, 55.9% vol. Teaninich is not often seen as a single malt, because most of the spirit goes into blends. The cask was chosen for its clear structure of aromas. It is a straightforward malt that lets the character of the distillery show, with no dominant influence from the wood. The nose combines green apple, pear and watermelon with a delicate malt note. The palate is powerful and fruity, with fresh apple and creamy vanilla, and the long finish returns to the same fruit.
