This is the tenth batch of the Lost Distilleries Blend, a blended Scotch made by The Blended Whisky Company from malt and grain whiskies of closed distilleries. Batch 10 draws on Caperdonich, Rosebank, Imperial, Mosstowie, Glen Mhor, Glenisla, Glenlochy, Craigduff, Port Ellen and Brora, with grain whisky from Port Dundas. It is bottled at 51% and released as 1,041 bottles.
The nose offers chocolate-covered coffee beans, marzipan and vanilla cream, with polished oak and toffee apple. The palate is very sweet, with raisins, sticky toffee pudding and fudge, then green apple and a touch of smoke. The finish is long and creamy, with charred oak.
