M&H Elements Peated Cask is a single malt from M&H Distillery. It was matured in casks from Islay that took on smoky, salty character, then blended with single malt aged in ex-bourbon barrels.
The fruity character of the new make joins the peaty notes typical of Islay casks, giving a mellow, lightly peated whisky.
The nose is fresh and smoky, with earth, vanilla, oak and a hint of lemon. The medium-bodied palate opens with vanilla sweetness, then gentle peat, ginger and lemon. The finish is long, with oak and lemon.
