Mac Na Mara Madeira Cask Finish is a Scotch blended whisky bottled at 40%. It has had a secondary maturation in casks that previously held Madeira wine.
The nose combines honey and vanilla with candied fruit, raisins and nuts. The palate is round and warm, with fruit cake, caramel and soft spices, lifted by toasted oak and candied citrus. The finish is elegant and lingering, balancing the winey notes of Madeira with malty character.
