Mac Na Mara Rum Cask Finish is a Scottish blended whisky bottled at 40%. It is finished in casks that previously held rum, a second maturation that adds an exotic side to the blend and links Scottish and Caribbean traditions.
The nose brings bourbon vanilla, ripe banana and coconut, with caramel and tropical fruit. The palate is smooth and warm, with toffee, sugar cane and exotic spice, balanced by malt. The finish is soft and lingering, with candied fruit, brown sugar and a touch of spiced oak.
