Mac-Talla Flora is a lightly peated Islay single malt, bottled at 48.2%. It takes its inspiration from the island's wild flower meadows and coastal air, and offers a gentler, softer smoke than Islay is usually known for.
The whisky is matured in 70% sherry casks, a mix of Oloroso and PX, and 30% ex-bourbon casks. It is bottled without added colour and without chill-filtering.
On the nose it is typically described as mildly smoky, with green apple, floral notes and wood spice. The palate brings salt, citrus, vanilla and heather, and the finish carries light smoke.
