Mac-Talla Mara Cask Strength Islay Single Malt (58.2%)

Mac-Talla Mara is an Islay single malt bottled at cask strength, 58.2%. It is non-chill-filtered with no added colour, and pours a light golden shade. Mara is Gaelic for sea. The nose is deep campfire smoke with a maritime salt note, fresh seaweed and a little citrus peel. The palate is full and robust, with barbecued meat, charred oak, dark chocolate and burnt caramel, balanced by a salty minerality. The finish is long, with warm spices and lingering heavy smoke.
