Mac-Talla PX is a 2026 limited edition Islay single malt bottled at 52.8%, unfiltered and without added colour. It was matured first in first fill sherry butts and then finished in refill PX hogsheads, giving a deep colour like burnt molasses. Peat smoke and the sweetness of Pedro Ximénez sherry sit side by side.
Sticky dates and sweet raisins lead the nose, with soft earthy peat beneath. On the palate there is dark dried fruit, caramel toffee, dark chocolate and spice, held in check by a salty coastal note and maritime peat. The finish is long and rich, with dark fruit sweetness and soft smoke.
